Image
The teams decided to make one video together of their final thoughts after successful completion. This was a great way to show how well the students have worked together in this intensive course!                                        The winner of the game was team Kau maka with only one point difference in points to the next team. Congrats Kau maka! All the teams have done unbeleavable great work during this 2 weeks intensive program. Today they had their final presentations and they got feedback from the client, Sokos Hotel. Day #10 Upload your team spirit!

Image
Today's program was all about testing and finalizing a lot of work. LosQuatros We are feeling stressed, relieved and even bit sad simultaneously as this course is coming to an end. Todays testing was a magnificent way of acquiring honest aspects and opinions from outsiders. As a team we have got to know each other well and thus became stronger as a team. The following picture represents our teamwork. We are making a video for tomorrows presentation. :)  Mamacha                                Kau maka:  Our group is feeling a wonderful spirit so we had to dance between our hard work. Let us introduce you to the dabke challenge

Day #8 contemporary premises versus future visions

Image
This is how the contemporary premises or services are going to change in the future.   Kaumaka: Our idea is to include more nature into the lobby. Now you can get an idea of how the lobby would look with a nature section. There is a berry bush where you can pick your own fruits, trees and grass you can just enjoy and a work bubble with a smart screen glass where you can work in or have meetings. Mamacha: Lobby of the future LosQuatros: Ever wondered at a restaurant before ordering food weather the food is going to be big enough to satisfy your hunger or how much calories it includes? In our Holo hotel lobby restaurant you can see your meal holostyle before ordering. No more regrets or jealousy for your friends meals!

Day #7 photos of cultural hunting

Image
Today´s Seppo was about cultural findings of the day. Students where asked to upload photos and explain why they have chosen them. Here are some of the photos. Mamacha: In Germany people are use to prefer cash more than credit card as a payment. In Finland almost everyone prefers credit card.  LosQuatros: And this one is very German looking premisery. Kau maka: Beer, rolls and „Mettwurst“ belong to the typical German diet and are originally produced in Germany. The Germans and Polish consume the most beer and Germany produces and sells a wide variety of beer. Bread rolls are also not common in every country but you can buy them in every German bakery. The Mettwurst is originally produced in Germany since the 16th century and was first called „Metworst“.

Day #4 personas in the future hotel lobby

Image
LosQuatros: The host at the hotel is a futuristic hologram, who scans the customer in advance to offer perfect customsized service just for him. Kau maka: A park in lobby will help people relax and enjoy nature even on rainy days Mamacha + roni: The receptionist in this lobby is a robot

Day #3 deleted ideas and first scores of the teams

Image
On this day the students described some ideas their team generated which they have deleted and also why they had done it. The teams had discarded game area and classical music in the lobby, fingerprints for customer check inn, food elevator and tables in the sitting area with inductive charging. After 3 days game LosQuatros has a lead of six points over the others. Very close competition at the moment!!

Day #2 Tourism services in Helsinki

LosQuatros: The Market Square offers souvenirs and beautiful sea-related sights. Even though the market promotes Finnish atmosphere we found it rather amusing that most of the products were made in China. But it doesn't play a significant role to the tourists. kau maka: Tourist information in Helsinki Mamacha + roni: We noticed that most of the famous sightseeing were packed inside 1 kilometer so we did a video, in which we wander true Kauppatori into the Helsinki SkyWheel. It was a beautiful day for the tourists, and the whole area has been put together amazingly in order to form a complete tourism service experience (restaurants, open pools, flea markets, sightseeings, etc.)

Day #1 Future oriented premises, facilities or services

Image
Day #1 started with cultural and future lectures and team working. For the game, students had to take some photos of future orientation. Some examples of their findings mamacha + Roni: Helsinki University - Advertisement for Artificial Intelligence Conference & Exhibition LosQuatros:  Supermarket open 24 hours a day, you can make purchases at any time. Supports freedom and individualism kaumaka: The reception would have a AI instead of humans to greet you
